Types of Markets - FOREX
Forex (Foreign Exchange) is the largest and most liquid financial market in the world, where trillions of dollars are exchanged daily. On this market, currency pairs are traded – for example, EUR/USD or USD/JPY – where investors speculate on the movement of the exchange rate between two currencies.
The forex market was created to facilitate international trade by speeding up and optimizing currency exchange processes. Commercial banks are key participants, representing about 20% of the total daily trading volume, alongside central banks, hedge funds, institutional investors, and individual traders.
